Book Discussion: The Vanishing Half, with Minda Reves

Book Discussion: The Vanishing Half, with Minda Reves Online

It might be too early to call it, but Brit Bennett's The Vanishing Half might just be the book of the summer! Join Minda Reves, writer and the director of the Spalding University Creative Writing BFA program, on July 25th for a book talk featuring the novel all your friends have been raving about. The Vanishing Half is about "twins, inseparable as children," who "ultimately choose to live in two very different worlds: one Black and one white" (Watch the author chat about her book on GMA). We'll discuss themes around leaving and returning, race, gender and identity.

This book discussion will be led by Minda Reves, the director of the Spalding University Creative Writing BFA program and a writer whose articles and essays have been featured by Longreads, the Oxford American, the Los Angeles Review of Books, the Washington Post, the Guardian, and elsewhere. This talk is free, but registration is required below.
