Lunch and Learn: Public Art in Southern Indiana In-Person
Join guest speaker Daniel Boone at our Lunch & Learn program on Tuesday, March 25th as he takes us on a visual tour of public art in southern Indiana, using photographs he has taken and back stories gathered from his "Fresh Art" podcast. After describing what public art is, our journey will begin in Jeffersonville and then go through Clarksville, New Albany, and Mount St. Francis. We'll encounter giant murals, exotic statues, kinetic sculptures, and mighty mosaics. You're sure to see some art that you never knew existed and may want to check out for yourself. Thumbnails of the art along with each of their locations will be provided in case you would like to go on a public art safari of your own.
Daniel helps out with the Arts Alliance of Southern Indiana and Jeffersonville Public Arts. He is a current member of the Clarksville Arts Commission and the Mount St. Francis Arts Advisory Board. He also served as the historian for the Jeffersonville Arts Alliance.
Free and open to the public, but reservations are requested.
