Fairview Cemetery Tour In-Person
Join Floyd County Public Library Indiana Room staff for a historic walking tour at Fairview Cemetery. This tour will highlight some of the citizens buried in Fairview Cemetery who participated in the Underground Railroad here in New Albany, IN.
September is designated International Underground Railroad Month because it is the month that two of the most well known Underground Railroad agents, Frederick Douglass and Harriet Tubman, escaped from slavery.
Meet at Fairview Cemetery at 800 E 6th St, New Albany, IN 47150. The tour starts promptly at 6pm and ends at 7pm. Please note that this is a walking tour that will cover about 1/2 mile.
Registration is required. Space is limited. We hope to see you there!
