Creating the Star Wars Universe: Roger Christian & Dr. David West Reynolds

Creating the Star Wars Universe: Roger Christian & Dr. David West Reynolds In-Person

Celebrate our Hero’s Journey exhibition with a very special event featuring Academy Award-winning Star Wars Set Decorator Roger Christian and #1 best-selling Star Wars author Dr. David West Reynolds! Discover how Christian’s innovative approach gave us iconic props like lightsabers and the believable look of the Millennium Falcon, and how he created the hugely influential "used universe" look of Star Wars. Hear stories from behind the scenes, including how Reynolds was inspired by Christian’s work in writing his Star Wars Visual Dictionaries, and how he invented lightsaber crystals and gave Yoda his lightsaber. Don't miss this unique opportunity to learn from two generations of Lucasfilm creators and explore the origins of your favorite saga!

A presentation and conversation will take place from 1 PM - 2 PM in the Jane Barth Anderson Meeting Room on the lower level of the museum, followed by an autograph signing from 2 PM - 4 PM in the Main Gallery. This event is free.
