Star Wars Block Party In-Person
Join us for a Star Wars Block Party on Saturday, May 11th from 11 AM - 3 PM at the Cultural Arts Center as we celebrate the grand opening of our new exhibit "Star Wars Meets Indiana Jones: The Hero’s Journey of Dr. David West Reynolds"! Enjoy Star Wars-themed crafts, activities, and games, and meet Star Wars characters from the Bloodfin Garrison - 501st Legion during this free event for all ages.
Guests can tour the museum and see our exhibit featuring character costumes, props, models, and memorabilia from the Stars Wars universe and beyond! This incredible exhibit chronicles the journey of archaeologist and NY-Times best selling author Dr. David West Reynolds, a New Albany native who forged an unprecedented career, from excavating ancient ruins to working with Lucasfilm on Star Wars and giving Yoda his lightsaber.
Come early for our ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:30 AM in the front of the museum in downtown New Albany at the corner of Spring Street and Bank. Look out for Reynolds' DeLorean!
